About the Role We are looking for compassionate, dedicated and reliable Residential Support Workers who are passionate about making a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care and support, helping residents to feel safe, valued and listened to , while encouraging independence and supporting them to achieve their individual goals.
You will build positive relationships with residents, families and professionals and become an important part of a supportive residential care team. Your Responsibilities Provide person-centred care and emotional support. Support children and young people with their daily living activities. Assist with personal care, meals, medication support and household tasks where required. Encourage independence, confidence and positive decision-making. Develop positive and trusting relationships with residents, families and professionals.
Follow individual care and support plans and contribute to reviews. Promote safeguarding and report concerns appropriately. Maintain accurate records and complete relevant documentation. Support residents experiencing challenging or distressed behaviour using positive and appropriate approaches. Work effectively with colleagues and other professionals. Promote dignity, equality, inclusion and independence at all times. About You
You will be:
Caring, patient and empathetic. Reliable, responsible and professional. A confident communicator and strong team player. Respectful of individual choices, dignity and personal boundaries. Able to remain calm and supportive in challenging situations. Passionate about supporting children and young people. Experienced in residential care, social care or support work – essential. Qualifications & Development A relevant care or healthcare qualification is desirable, such as:
Care Certificate Level 2 or Level 3 Health & Social Care Equivalent relevant qualification You must be willing to undertake relevant training and professional development. ? Why Join?
