HR Advisor Wednesbury £35,000 - £38,000 A well-established and highly respected business with over 50 years of success is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its team in Wednesbury, West Midlands. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a broad and rewarding HR remit, providing expert support to employees and managers across three locations:
Wednesbury, Leeds and Crawley. This is a true generalist role, ideal for someone who enjoys variety, building strong relationships and making a real impact across the business. You will play a key role in supporting the employee experience and driving people-focused initiatives across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing first-line HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a wide range of people matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies. Managing employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management and flexible working requests. Coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities, including drafting job adverts, liaising with agencies, screening candidates, arranging interviews and supporting hiring managers throughout the process.

Delivering a positive onboarding experience for new starters, ensuring all documentation, inductions and compliance checks are completed. Maintaining accurate employee records and HR systems, producing reports and supporting HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle. Acting as the key liaison with the external payroll provider, preparing payroll information, validating data and resolving payroll-related queries. Monitoring attendance, absence and wellbeing trends, providing proactive support and recommendations to managers.

Supporting learning and development initiatives, including identifying training needs, coordinating training activities and maintaining training records. Assisting with the development, review and implementation of HR policies, procedures and best practices. Leading and supporting HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organisational effectiveness. Ensuring HR processes remain compliant with current employment legislation and company standards. Managing employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, documentation and identifying opportunities for organisational improvement.

Essential

Experience:

Good understanding of UK employment law and HR practices. CIPD Level
5. Experience supporting recruitment, onboarding and employee relations activities. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High level of confidentiality and professionalism. Driving licence and access to a vehicle. Desirable:

Experience with in a manufacturing, construction or engineering environment. Experience supporting disciplinary, grievance and absence management cases. Knowledge of payroll administration processes.
