Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday–Friday (occasional weekend work may be required)

We’re recruiting a System Support Engineer to join the Digital IT Services and Systems Department within the NHS.

You’ll work as part of a dedicated team responsible for supporting and maintaining hardware, core systems, web services, applications, operating systems, and networking across multiple NHS sites.

You’ll play a key role in monitoring incidents, ensuring timely resolution of issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for service and process improvements.

• Provide technical support for a wide range of systems, applications, and hardware.
• Monitor and manage incidents, ensuring efficient and effective resolution.
• Support and mentor 1st Line Service Desk team members through knowledge sharing and skill transfer.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain IT equipment including laptops and desktops
  .
• Recommend system and service improvements to enhance overall performance.

• Previous experience in an IT Support / System Support / Technical Support role.
• Confident troubleshooting hardware, operating systems, and network-related issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between sites. (Vehicle Provided)
