Snowflake DBA - 6 months - Inside IR35 - Hybrid in Norwich
An experienced Snowflake Database Administrator is required to lead the management, optimisation, and governance of a secure, high-performing Snowflake environment for a leading organisation. This is a 6-month rolling contract, operating inside IR35, with on-site presence required several times per week in Norwich.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee user accounts, roles, and permissions in Snowflake.
Ensure secure access, data masking, and compliance with policies.
Monitor and tune performance, manage virtual warehouses, and storage costs.
Create and maintain schemas, tables, views, and procedures.
Implement back-up, restore, and cross-region replication plans.
What you will ideally bring:
- Deep expertise in Snowflake setup, configuration, and best practices.
- Proficiency in SQL & Snowflake SQL, including standard ANSI SQL and Snowflake-specific extensions.
- Experience with Cloud Platforms, preferably AWS, including services like S3, IAM, EC2.
- Hands-on experience with traditional databases such as SQL Server, Teradata, or Exadata.
- Knowledge of security and governance practices, including role-based access control, data masking, and auditing in Snowflake.
