Learn to provide first‑line support, handle hardware, software and network issues, and keep systems running smoothly. This apprenticeship is a two‑year fixed‑term contract with a flexitime system.
Compensation & BenefitsWage: £16,224 – £25,775.88, depending on age.
National Minimum Wage applies.
Group Personal Pension scheme – employer matches contributions plus 2% extra up to a maximum employer contribution of 10%.

Job DetailsDuration: 2 years.

Training Course: Information Communications Technician (Level
3).
- Provide first‑line technical support to users via telephone, email and helpdesk system.
- Log, prioritise and manage support tickets, ensuring they are resolved within agreed service levels.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software and basic network issues, escalating more complex problems when necessary.
- Assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of IT equipment, including laptops, desktops, printers and mobile devices.
- Support user account administration (e.g. password resets, access permissions, onboarding/off‑boarding).
- Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions and IT procedures.
- Assist with routine system maintenance, updates and security checks.
- Contribute to IT projects and system improvements.
- Ensure company IT policies, security standards and data protection practices are followed.
- Maintain IT asset registers and track equipment inventory.
- Create and update user guides and knowledge‑base articles.
- Interpret and prioritise customer requirements in line with organisational policy.
- Apply tools and techniques to fault find and rectify issues.
- Use basic scripting (Power Shell, Linux) to execute tasks.
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with health & safety.
- Communicate with stakeholders, manage escalation, and keep them informed of progress.
- Participate in continuous professional development activities to support business outputs.
- Carry out routine maintenance across systems and networks, ensuring compliance.
GCSE in:
- English (Language or Literature) (grade 4/C)
- Mathematics (grade 4/C)
