Business Intelligence Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - 50,000 per year

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including One Lake, Lakehouse, Delta, Data Pipelines, Dataflows, and semantic models.
• Solid understanding of Fabric, Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modelling best practices and modern Lakehouse architectures.
• Experience building ETL or ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines or Azure Data Factory.
• Ability to provide strategic input to our Group BI development pipeline.
• Ability to work effectively with a variety of finance and operations colleagues to identify key business drivers.

• Support the implementation and development of our Group Microsoft Fabric data environment.
• Design and maintain data ingestion pipelines from multiple source systems.
• Develop and maintain data models to support reporting and analytics.
• Work alongside Finance Business Partners, our HR team, and Senior Operational Managers to automate the production of key reports and KPIs in interactive dashboards.
• Ensure our dashboard, reporting, and design process uses the most appropriate formats to maximise user engagement and insight.
• Ensure the data integrity of all reports, dashboards, and analysis.
• Assist in the governance and documentation of BI solutions, including data dictionaries and report inventories.
• Actively seek opportunities to add value where possible.
• Share knowledge with report users, enabling them to self-serve and develop ad hoc reports confidently where relevant.
• Maintain strong relationships with our Support Partners through quarterly review meetings.

We are Norse Group and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Finance Team on a full‑time, permanent basis working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based in Norwich. This pivotal role will help develop our Business Intelligence capability across the Group, ensuring BI is delivered securely and efficiently while maximising the value and quality of our dashboards and reports.

You will work closely with our Group IT Team, Senior Finance Team, HR, other support functions, and operational managers. We offer a salary of £50,000, 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, an 8‑week sickness scheme, and access to company discounts and offers.
