Insurance Officer | 10029 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £37,280 to £39,152 per annum (Scale I) | County Hall, Norwich

The Insurance Team exists to promote and embed risk management practices, underwrite insurance cover and deal with the claims that arise for the departments of Norfolk County Council and subsidiary companies.

The post supports the team and all departments and subsidiary companies to manage risks and provides advice to avoid or minimise future claims.

We are looking to recruit an individual with recent experience of working within the insurance industry to provide a professional insurance and client management service to internal and external clients. You will be joining an established team of experienced insurance and claims professionals.

We are looking for someone who is highly focused, organised, enthusiastic, has a flexible and adaptable approach to their work and is customer focussed.

You will provide advice on issues such as underwriting, insurance cover and insurance cost benefit analysis and to ensure appropriate regular insurance and risk management reports are provided to clients to support service delivery.

You must have an excellent telephone manner and customer service skills. You will have experience in communicating with clients and the ability to respond appropriately to client enquiries.

You will have a good level of education with the ability to provide reports to a high level of accuracy and be able to communicate report findings in an effective way to clients.
