This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of our Maintenance Team at the Residences based at the NNUHFT. We have 144 en-suite rooms on site with hotel stays and longer tenancy stays. The Department is committed to providing a high-quality service to those living in our accommodation.
Please note, there will be a short assessment at interview stage, consisting of a small practical task and a few maintenance-related questions.

Bank (as required)
- To provide a high quality maintenance/repair/installation and services to a range of electrical, mechanical and gas equipment in respect of the residential staff accommodation at Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital. Activities may include work such as fitting fire putty packs to electrical sockets.
- Maintains equipment, building fabric and utility services of Trust property.
- To assist the Accommodation Manager with the prioritisation, programming and monitoring or all maintenance repair works.
- To offer advice and support to tenants, to report all instances of anti-social behaviour.
- To perform occasional grounds maintenance duties which include spreading of salt, sweeping of leaves, collecting litter, cleaning gulley's, painting and decorating, Minor works and maintaining cleanliness of all external areas.

- Recognised Electrical apprenticeship and relevant experience in electrical maintenance.
- Knowledge and understanding of general building services
- Excellent customer care and communication skills
- Punctuality
- Ability to learn new techniques/skills. Work unsupervised.
- Computer literate able to use word, excel and access
- NVQ in Plumbing to L 2 or equivalent
- 17th Edition City and Guilds 2382. 2394 - Initial and fundamental inspection and testing. Proven experience of working in a similar environment.
