Overview

Vacancy:
Caretaker

Salary Scale D5 - D6 £ 25,583 to £25,989 (Pro rata actual £13,829 to £14,049)

All year round, permanent, 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out basic maintenance and building repairs.
  • Keep the school and grounds clean, safe and tidy.
  • Support the estates team at St Clements Academy as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Experience in a caretaker or maintenance role, ideally within a school environment.
  • Excellent administrative, communication and ICT skills.
  • Good understanding of legislation and regulatory compliance as it applies to school premises (Health and Safety, COSHH, asbestos and legionella).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Flexible, able to work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Approachable, professional, reliable and adaptable to cover absence as needed.
About the Employer

Broad Horizons Education Trust is a multi-academy Trust comprising 18 schools across Norfolk, educating 7,500 children and young people and employing nearly 1,200 people.

Working Hours and Location

The hours for this post are 20 hours per week, all year round, Monday to Friday 2:15pm to 6:15pm. Flexibility is essential to cover absence.
