Title: Stores Operative

Location: HMP Norwich, Knox Rd, Norwich NR1 4LU

Salary: £28,853.57

Contract: Full Time, 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Permanent

As a Stores Operative you will work as part of the Facilities Maintenance Team at HMP Norwich, supporting the safe and efficient operation of the prison. Your day‑to‑day duties will involve managing store stock, preparing materials for maintenance work, ensuring a clean and safe environment, and working alongside plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators.

• Fork Lift Truck Certificate
• Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
• Full driving licence, preferably with D1
• HGV Licence
• Up to date First Aid at Work Qualification
• Good Health & Safety knowledge
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Holidays: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays.
