FM Operations Officer | 10593 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £29,064 to £31,022 per annum (Scale

F) | County Hall, Norwich

We are seeking a proactive FM Operations Officer to support the FM Operations Managers in maintaining Norfolk County Council’s (NCC) diverse property portfolio. This role ensures that all properties remain safe, compliant, and well‑maintained by efficiently allocating reactive and planned maintenance tasks to contractors and monitoring completion.

Responsibilities
  • Triage incoming issues, prioritise health and safety concerns and ensure swift and accurate work assignment.
  • Coordinate contractor attendance, verify compliance with statutory requirements (including CDM and RAMS) and track performance.
  • Manage low‑value maintenance budgets, process invoices and ensure value for money within NCC procurement guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, contractor performance and financial reporting.
  • Support the FM Operations Managers with operational planning and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Experience in facilities management, contractor coordination and administrative processes within a property services environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAFM systems is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
