Shropshire Council is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Revenues Manager to oversee the delivery of our Council Tax, NNDR and BID billing services.
This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring legal compliance, high-quality service delivery and strong financial performance across all revenues functions.
ResponsibilitiesLead Revenues Operations
Manage the end-to-end delivery of Council Tax, NNDR and BID billing, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Ensure Legal & Statutory Compliance
Interpret complex legislation and oversee statutory returns including CTB1, QRC4, NNDR1 and NNDR.
Drive Performance & Improvement
Monitor KPIs, accuracy levels and service outcomes, ensuring continuous improvement across the service.
Lead Debt Recovery Strategy
Promote effective debt management and oversee write-off recommendations within agreed limits.
Manage Systems & Processes
Ensure revenues systems are maintained, optimised and used effectively by all teams.
Lead and develop Team Managers
Oversee training programmes and embed a culture of accountability and high performance.
Oversee Budgets & Risk
Manage service budgets, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
QualificationsYou must have previous proven experience in Council Tax & NNDR Legislation.
