About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Manager to join a well-established Further Education College based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in ensuring a safe, secure, and well-maintained learning environment for students, staff, and visitors.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the colleges facilities, overseeing maintenance, health and safety compliance, and supporting operational efficiency across the site.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the college premises
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and statutory requirements
Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and coordinate repairs
Supervise contractors and external service providers on site
Lead and support site staff, including caretaking and facilities teams
Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards across buildings and grounds
Manage budgets related to site operations and maintenance
Support emergency procedures and act as a key contact for site-related incidents

About You

Proven experience in a Site Manager / Facilities Manager / Estates role, ideally within education or a similar environment
Strong working knowledge of health & safety legislation (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)
Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
Confident in managing contractors and leading a team
Good communication and stakeholder management skills
Relevant qualifications in facilities management, building services, or equivalent (desirable)
