Overview

Bringing together work streams in ecological management, estate management, visitor experience and engagement, this project is based on a shared vision and aims to deliver ecological, social and economic wellbeing outcomes for the nature reserve and the surrounding area. The post offers an excellent opportunity for a senior projects officer to build their experience supporting a high profile, multidisciplinary strategic project in cooperation with colleagues, partners and the local community working with a project team from across the Trust.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project support and co-ordination for the development phase of the Wilder Hickling project, including detailed planning and deliverables to obtain permissions and funding for the delivery phase.
  • Support the project manager in driving delivery and enabling the organisation to realise the project vision for Wilder Hickling.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, partners and the local community to ensure cross-disciplinary coordination across ecological management, estate management, and visitor experience.
Qualifications
  • Proven project management skills from previous roles, including general project management support and specialist multi-disciplinary support.
  • Experience with in a project management framework is essential; qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Excellent coordination and collaboration skills.
About Us

Norfolk Wildlife Trust is seeking a highly motivated and experienced senior projects officer to support the delivery of the development phase of a project to deliver an inspiring future vision for Hickling Broad and Marshes. The largest of the Broads, Hickling. Norfolk Wildlife Trust is a registered charity and the oldest Wildlife Trust in the country. Established in 1926, we manage over 60 nature reserves and other protected sites in Norfolk, including ten kilometres of coastline, nine Norfolk broads, nine National Nature Reserves and five ancient woodlands.
