Spinwell is recruiting for a Project Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

• Preparing documents and leading on the development of project proposals, ensuring that clear objectives and project scope are agreed at the outset
• Responsible for the completion and maintenance of Project Initiation Documents for a variety of large scale or highly complex projects
• Responsible for developing project plans in line with project management principles and methodology
• Monitoring and reporting progress against milestones, determining RAG status based on analysis of a range of information; assessing options to unblock issues, clarifying discrepancies and escalating complex issues as appropriate
• Responsible for identifying and managing project risks, issues, decisions and actions; maintaining and updating the RAID log, ensuring key information is captured in highlight reports
• Responsible for post project evaluations, identifying lessons learned and reporting on final outcomes/delivery of project objectives
• Developing and implementing qualitative and quantitative measures to determine and evaluate the benefits.
  
  Reporting progress through personal representation, delivering presentations and by written reports to appropriate boards, internal and external stakeholders and groups of staff.
• Completing all documents and reports as specified in the project framework and in line with agreed reporting schedules
• Planning and co-ordinating the activity of project team members, stakeholders and contributors, ensuring that tasks and work packages are completed satisfactorily and on schedule
• Facilitating collaborative working to achieve project objectives, utilising project resource effectively; capacity planning in line with priority projects and work streams
• To lead project board meetings, persuading and negotiating with stakeholders to motivate delivery of the project; assessing progress and addressing issues to ensure project standards are maintained and to achieve agreed objectives
• Facilitate project working groups and workshops with internal and external parties; encouraging discussion to identify stakeholder actions and ownership
• Analysing and interpreting complex information to determine if any change in action required; reviewing options, assessing risk and identifying appropriate action
• Delivering performance improvement and service re-design through the delivery of improvement projects; proposing change, leading on change and implementing new ways of working across the Trust
• Analysing performance, capacity and demand data to identify areas for improvement, assessing priority schemes and project proposals; working with programme managers to determine areas for collaborative working and in relation to capacity planning
• To lead on service development and support Service Leads in managing change for defined project areas across the Trust; recognising resistance to change and developing strategies to overcome this and support staff in working differently
• Utilising a range of IT applications to regularly create reports and plans, maintaining systems to manage and monitor project information; use of graphics to display statistical information or present highly complex narrative
• Manage project resource to deliver on financial initiatives, cost improvement plans, etc with delegated responsibility for managing project budgets, identifying under/overspend and taking appropriate action
