Head of Quality and Governance

Location: ideally based in Norwich NR1,Hybrid working.
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 per annum

As our services continue to grow across the UK, we’re seeking a Head of Quality and Governance to lead with confidence, compassion, and clinical expertise. Reporting directly to the Clinical Director, this senior appointment offers scope to influence outcomes, elevate standards, and ensure our governance approach is both robust and forward-thinking.

Your Role

This is a strategic and hands-on leadership position, suited to someone who excels in quality assurance and service improvement. You’ll guide clinical teams, oversee governance structures, and play an instrumental role in safeguarding the delivery of safe, effective and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clear, credible clinical leadership across the service.
  • Chair Governance Group meetings and present to board level.
  • Lead incident reviews and ensure recommendations are followed through.
  • Develop and refine clinical policies and procedures.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance, including CQC, data protection and health & safety standards.
  • Support governance integration across newly acquired services.
  • Directly line manage the Quality & Governance Support Officer.
  • Track emerging NHS policy and lead the compilation of our Governance Report.
About You
  • HCPC registered clinician (e.g. Physiotherapist) with extensive governance experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ post-registration, ideally within leadership or quality roles.
  • Strong grasp of clinical frameworks and audit processes.
  • Excellent communication, judgement, and relationship-building skills.
  • Calm, considered and skilled at managing sensitive and complex issues.
  • Qualifications in project management or quality improvement.
  • Experience conducting clinical incident investigations.
  • Practical understanding of regulatory frameworks and inspection readiness.
