Role OutlineTo perform a wide variety of assembly, testing, packing or similar tasks in order to produce quality instruments for Fluke and/or its subsidiaries.
Primary Responsibilities- Fully assemble, test, calibrate, inspect and pack a range of instruments across multiple manufacturing cells as required by the business.
- Adhere to defined processes in assigned work area, including Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, Safe Systems of Work and Engineering Drawings.
- Train fellow operatives on defined processes as requested by the relevant Production Team Leader.
- Participate in basic diagnosis and rework of Fluke product down to Assembly/Part level and escalate faults to Technicians/Team Leaders as required.
- Suggest and/or implement process/product improvements using the FBS toolset to improve operating KPIs such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity and Cost.
- Participate in creation, review and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures.
- Attend required meetings, trainings, 1:1 reviews, and performance appraisals as communicated by the Production Team Leader and take an active role in these events.
- Participate in continuous improvement events (Kaizens) or other applicable events communicated from time to time.
- Participate in Daily Management meetings to report out achieved results and manage business expectations.
- Receives predetermined work assignments subject to a minor level of control and review.
- Interacts daily with fellow Assembly Operatives and/or Manufacturing/Calibration Technician(s).
- Interaction normally involves exchange/movement of Fluke product and may include fault finding/diagnosis as required.
- Interacts daily with the Production Team Leader to define priorities and escalates issues as needed for proper performance.
- Interacts as required with other members of the Fluke Management team, primary management contact remains with immediate Team Leader.
