  • Diagnose and repair faults across mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Use schematics, technical manuals and diagnostic tools to identify issues and resolve breakdowns efficiently.
  • Repair or replace faulty components, including basic welding and fabrication repairs where required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activity, repairs and completed work.
  • Support general building and facilities maintenance when required.
  • Ensure all work is completed in line with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Work independently during the evening shift, escalating issues where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong electrical fault‑finding skills, including the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
  • Good mechanical knowledge, including experience with machinery repairs.
  • Welding or fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • Experience with in window, door, fenestration or similar manufacturing environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Safety‑conscious, reliable and comfortable working autonomously.
  • Christmas shutdown
  • Company pension, with auto‑enrolment after 3 months’ service
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme
  • Free on‑site parking
  • Health and wellbeing programme
  • Training and development opportunities
  • Initial training provided on a day/mid shift alongside the Engineering Manager
