About Dilham Ward (Thoracic and Oesophagogastric Unit)
Are you a dynamic and motivated student Adult Nurse? Looking to learn lots of new skills working in a highly specialist supportive unit?
If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you. We are seeking to recruit a Registered Band 5 Nurse to complement our team. As Thoracic and Oesophagogastric surgical unit we work very closely as a multidisciplinary team and have a dedicated and skilled nursing team as well as therapy and medical staff. Dilham- TOGU is one of a few units across the country providing specialist support for Oesophagogastric and Thoracic patients.
Mainduties of the job
Work with all members of the Ward/Department clinical team within the multi- disciplinary framework. Maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister/Charge Nurse.

As a registered nurse on the ward you will be responsible for a cohort of patients, providing bed side care. Working along side the management team to provide excellent patient care in a supportive environment. Teaching and coaching will be available at all times. We look forward to meeting you soon.
As a Newly Qualified Nurse you will become fully integrated into the team and will be encouraged to continually develop your skills.

Your preceptorship and beyond!
Our Practice Development and Education team will be there to support you during your preceptorship period and beyond. We are proud to offer and support all our Newly Qualified Nurses through a comprehensive Preceptorship scheme for a minimum of 12 months.
When you start with us, you will be assigned an appropriately trained preceptor/mentor, who will support and work with you throughout your preceptorship.
We have a specialised two week supernumerary induction programme which will take place in September 2026 (date to be confirmed). This gives you an opportunity to meet the Clinical Educators, get to know the hospital, the NNUH team, attend workshops to facilitate your clinical skills and gives you time…
