Staffing Innovations is working with a first class manufacturing client leading the way in its field. With significant investment, the company is expanding and looking to recruit an experienced QHSE Lead for its business.
Role OverviewThe QHSE Lead will support the Quality Manager and quality team in achieving adherence to quality, environmental, and health and safety standards according to legislation and company procedures. Active involvement in driving change and continuous improvement is key to fostering a ‘zero defects and zero accidents’ culture and achieving World Class Manufacturing.
Key Job Elements- Provide operational support on all aspects of health, safety, environment, and quality and drive QHSE standards.
- Compile accident and incident reports and undertake incident investigations as required.
- Perform performance testing of products to ensure adherence to specification.
- Actively participate in root cause analysis for complaints and internal issues.
- Collate accident statistics, categorize accidents, and undertake trend analysis.
- Conduct Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety audits and implement corrective measures as required.
- Ensure the business has sufficient First Aider and Fire Marshall coverage and inform them of any policy or regulation changes.
- Undertake compliance audits.
- Maintain the management system and identify and implement initiatives to improve it, including procedures, processes, safe systems of work, and risk assessments.
- Experience working within Quality (essential).
- Experience in an FMCG workplace.
- Qualified Internal Auditor (BRCGS and/or ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SPC & MSA techniques).
- NEBOSH Health and Safety qualification.
- Experience of product safety including an understanding of HACCP principles.
- Experience managing product safety risks and controls to BRCGS and/or ISO standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis (RCA) experience.
- Laboratory experience (advantageous).
- Good knowledge of current health and safety legislation and HSE best practices.
- Hours:
Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours (8.00am – 5.30pm). Some flexibility required for audits and training. Normal working hours can be discussed at offer stage. - Holiday: 33 days per annum (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
- Pension: 4% Employee and minimum 4% Employer contribution.
