Norwich, Bristol, York or Perth – Starting salary circa £70k (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
OverviewThis role is for a Quality Engineering Architect (or Senior Quality Engineer) who enjoys shaping how quality engineering and testing work across the business. You will lead how we deliver quality across our technology teams, set standards, improve testing practices, and help teams build reliable, high‑quality solutions.
Responsibilities- Lead the approach to testing across teams, making it smarter, faster and more reliable.
- Design and improve automated testing frameworks, helping teams use tools such as Selenium and Playwright effectively.
- Spot gaps, risks and trends in testing quality and implement practical improvements.
- Ensure testing is built in from the start, not added at the end.
- Explore new ways to test, including AI, and support others to build their testing skills and confidence.
- Coach and support engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Strong experience in quality engineering, test automation and frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Experience setting standards and improving ways of working across multiple teams.
- Ability to lead, coach and support engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
- Understanding of risk, governance and quality assurance processes.
- Interest in emerging technologies such as AI for testing and automation.
