Responsibilities

  • Spot gaps, risks and trends in testing quality and implement practical improvements.
  • Ensure testing is built in from the start, not added at the end.
  • Explore new ways to test, including AI, and support others to build their testing skills and confidence.
  • Coach and support engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Strong experience in quality engineering, test automation and frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright.
  • Experience setting standards and improving ways of working across multiple teams.
  • Ability to lead, coach and support engineers to deliver high‑quality outcomes.
  • Understanding of risk, governance and quality assurance processes.
  • Interest in emerging technologies such as AI for testing and automation.
Benefits
  • Bonus opportunity – 10% (actual amount depends on performance and Aviva’s scheme; e.g., 8% employee contribution + 14% Aviva).
  • Generous pension scheme – Aviva matches 14% when you contribute 8%.
  • 29 days holiday plus bank holidays; ability to buy or sell up to 5 days.
  • Aviva‑funded private medical benefit.
  • Up to 40% discount on Aviva products and other retailer discounts.
  • Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through the Matching Share Plan.
  • Brilliantly supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
  • Flexible benefits such as sustainability options (cycle to work).
  • Paid volunteering days (3 days) to help others.
