- On-site Quality Inspector Role responsibilities Work with the team to create and maintain a quality-focused culture throughout the business. Dimensionally and visually inspect products to detailed technical drawings and specifications Carry out first offs, last offs, incoming material and final inspection checks. Investigate and analyse non-conforming product or any deviation from specification and raise Concession requests and, when required, Non-conformance reports.
Accurately complete manufacturing records, ensuring accuracy and full product and process traceability. Ensure all documentation and calibration of equipment is current and correct Ensure that all inspection standards, as agreed with customers' specifications, are carried out effectively before processing and at the inspection/despatch stage Ensure full compliance of the Company quality system with the requirements of our international standards ISO 9001: 2008 & AS9100 and in line with customer approvals.
Quality Inspector Skills Follow all company Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) requirements, policies, and procedures at all times. Review and understand the Job Card and all applicable manufacturing documentation before starting work, ensuring the latest revisions are available and used. This includes engineering drawings, setup instructions, inspection plans, data cards, and any other required documentation. Carry out operations in accordance with the specified requirements, using the appropriate measuring equipment and completing all in-process inspections to verify product conformity.
Identify, record, and communicate any non-conforming products in line with the Non-Conformance Procedure, and support root cause investigations where required. Accurately complete work bookings within the MRP system, follow handling and storage requirements to prevent damage, and perform scheduled TPM activities on equipment. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area in accordance with 5S standards, while actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and performance.
