Position 1 Recruitment is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Technician to join a growing engineering and manufacturing company. You’ll work closely with Quality, Production, Engineering and suppliers to maintain high standards, resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage ITPs, inspections, NCRs and corrective actions.
  • Investigate quality issues using 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Carry out pre-test, pre-paint and final inspections.
  • Support ISO 9001 audits and customer/supplier quality requirements.
  • Review supplier documentation, material certificates and traceability.
  • Support PFMEA, process mapping and manufacturing improvements.
  • Work with internal teams and suppliers to reduce defects, rework and recurring issues.
  • Maintain customer-specific quality records and technical documentation.
About You
  • BTEC Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering within manufacturing or engineering.
  • Experience with NCRs, corrective actions, inspections and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Knowledge of 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone/Ishikawa and ITPs.
  • Understanding of ISO 9001, PFMEA and process mapping is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and communication skills.
