About the Role

As a Supermarket Assistant, you’ll help make a difference to our customers on every visit, providing partner‑led service and passion for food that sets us apart. Your drive to go the extra mile will shape the impression customers have of the Waitrose brand and keep them returning again and again, earning their trust and loyalty for a lifetime.

Applicants must be 18 years or older to comply with working time regulations.

• Stock replenishment – keeping shelves full and products in the right place at the right time for customers.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for drivers to deliver directly to customers’ doors.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and mark downing items nearing sell‑by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team as needed, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling on‑demand customer orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment through general shop‑keeping tasks.

• Communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers.

• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the entire branch.
