Rate: £16.50 – £19.00 per hour

About the Role

We are recruiting a reliable and experienced Handyman / Multi-Skilled Operative to work with a well-established small building contractor delivering ongoing maintenance and minor building works across residential and commercial sites in Norfolk and Suffolk.

This is a long-term opportunity for the right person, with consistent work across multiple contracts.

Key Responsibilities

* General property maintenance and repair works

* Basic carpentry, patch plastering, minor brickwork

* Hanging doors, fitting skirting, architraves, and ironmongery

* Painting and making good following works

* Minor plumbing tasks (e.g. leaks, taps, sanitary ware – non-gas)

* Reactive and planned maintenance works

* Working independently and maintaining a high standard of workmanship

Requirements

* Proven handyman or trade background (carpentry, plumbing, building maintenance or similar)

* Relevant trade qualification or time-served experience

* Own vehicle and tools essential

* Ability to work independently and manage workload

* Good communication and customer-facing skills

* Full UK driving licence

* CSCS card preferred (or willingness to obtain)
