Life Beyond Care - Level 2 or Senior Social Worker
Children’s Services, Life Beyond Care Service, Norwich and South
We are currently seeking to recruit a Level 2 or Senior Social Worker for our Life Beyond Care Teams in Norfolk. We welcome applications from those who have experience of working with children and young people who are Care Leavers, or from those who have experience as a Children’s Social Worker and bring the transferable skills needed to work in this area.
We also welcome applications from those seeking to return to front line statutory practice.
We believe it is vital that children are prepared and able to learn; build positive, long‑term relationships and receive family‑based care. Norfolk’s social care model is a relationship‑based, purposeful approach with social workers practising in a trauma‑informed way, incorporating therapeutic approaches within their work with children, young people, their carers and families.
It is an exciting time to join our Corporate Parenting Service as we embark on a new way of working that allows practitioners to focus on preventative work to support the emotional wellbeing and aspirations for every young person we work with.
Qualifications- Relevant professional vocational qualification in Social Work; registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within the Corporate Parenting area or transferable skills with the ability to motivate individuals and create high‑performing teams.
- Strong leadership skills and experience of managing performance during periods of change.
