About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide overnight support, safety, and crisis response within our SHINE service.
This is a frontline role where you will ensure the safety, wellbeing, and stability of clients throughout the night, responding to risk, providing emotional support, and maintaining a calm and secure environment.
The role includes working across multiple sites during the night where required to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients overnight, carrying out regular welfare checks
- Respond to crisis situations, safeguarding concerns, and disclosures of trauma
- Maintain a safe, calm, and supportive women-only environment
- Carry out night-time assessments and contribute to support and safety plans
- Monitor the building, reporting health & safety or maintenance issues
- Work collaboratively with external agencies and internal teams
- Maintain accurate case notes, incident reports, and safeguarding records
About You
You will be compassionate, resilient, and able to work confidently in a lone-working, night-time environment supporting women with complex needs.
You will have:
- Stong experience supporting vulnerable women or adults with complex needs
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice and safeguarding
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in crisis situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and use sound judgement
