Based at the Hethel Engineering Centre, you’ll contribute to exciting projects that shape the future of vehicle development and driver-in-the-loop simulation.

Responsibilities
  • Associate Engineer / Software Engineer with experience in MATLAB / Simulink to join our growing R&D team.
  • Support the design, development, integration, and maintenance of models and software applications within a real-time simulation environment.
  • Collaborate with modelling, integration, and systems engineers to deliver project milestones.
  • Produce clean, robust, and maintainable code aligned with development standards.
  • Take ownership of assigned components or features.
  • Participate in code reviews and implement feedback.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects.
  • Support integration, testing, and real-time simulation activities.
  • Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor progress and escalate risks or issues when required.
  • Occasional travel to support integration or project activities.
What are we looking for?

Essential

  • Degree (BSc or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience using MATLAB / Simulink
    .
  • Understanding of real-time systems
    .
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Desirable

  • Automotive engineering experience or strong interest.
  • Experience with Driver-in-the-Loop (DIL) simulators
    .
  • Interest in vehicle dynamics, cars, or driving simulation.
  • Knowledge of EtherCAT / TwinCAT (Beckhoff).
  • Exposure to simulation or control systems environments.
