We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers for high-volume distribution and regional logistics operations based in Norwich. Situated with direct, easy access to the A47, A11, and A1270 Broadland Northway corridors
, this role offers guaranteed shift hours and dependable long-term stability with temp-to-perm pathways for dedicated drivers.
Hours: 45 – 50 hours per week (Day shifts, night trunks, and 4-on/4-off patterns available)
Start Date: Immediate starts available following standard site induction and driver assessment
Safe Transport: Depot-to-depot trunking, scheduled RDC drop-offs, and inter-hub palletised freight movements across Norfolk, East Anglia, and national networks
Vehicle Checks: Conducting mandatory pre-trip walk-around safety checks and logging any vehicle/trailer defects
Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to load security guidelines, EU Drivers’ Hours regulations, Working Time Directive (WTD), and digital tachograph rules
Documentation: Accurate handling of consignment notes, delivery manifests, and digital Proof of Delivery (POD) sign-offs
RequirementsLicence & Cards: Valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, Driver CPC qualification card, and Digital Tachograph card
Proven commercial Class 1 driving experience, a valid licence with no more than 6 minor points, and strictly no DR, DD, or IN endorsements.
Clean Record: Maximum 6 penalty points (strictly no DR/DD/IN endorsement codes)
Professional Standards: High standards of road safety, punctuality, and defensive driving
Working Hours: Typical shifts run 8 to 10 paid hours, with regular overtime opportunities available.
Support: Dedicated transport coordinator and on-call planning team
