Our client is a well-established boutique accounting firm located in Norwood, MA, known for providing high-quality, personalized services to small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and clients in the education sector. The firm is seeking a motivated Auditor with at least 1 year of public accounting or audit experience. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in auditing financial processes, establishing and/or adhering to internal controls, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This role offers hands-on experience, exposure to various clients, and opportunities for growth within a supportive environment.

• Perform audits for small businesses, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions
• Assess and test internal controls, identify risks, and propose recommendations
• Prepare audit work papers, financial statements, and reports in accordance with GAAP
• Maintain open communication with clients and internal stakeholders
• Stay current on industry regulations and best practices
• Assist with other assurance and accounting projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 1+ years of audit experience in public accounting or internal audit
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and internal control procedures
• CPA or CPA track preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines
• Experience working with nonprofit or education clients is a plus
