job summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join a small team in the aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronic products and a career focused on software development and verification.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for writing requirements for the creation of test systems and ensuring they meet the rigorous standards required for aerospace applications. This role involves writing test system requirements, developing and executing test plans, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

As a Test Engineer, you’ll be instrumental in validating state‑of‑the‑art Engine Monitoring Systems. We’re looking for a proactive team player with exceptional communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the full lifecycle of test equipment development and automation for electronic products, with programming proficiency using high‑level languages like Python, C, and/or C++. This role involves leading and architecting test equipment systems, used in the development, qualification, and production of electronic aerospace components and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Architect test systems, both electronic hardware and software, to verify our products meet the objectives of DO178C, DO160G, and Acceptance Test for manufacturing.
  • Develop and write detailed requirements for the creation of test systems.
  • Perform testing and validation of electronic systems and components to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of electronic products.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and reliability of electronic designs.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience, minimum of 10 years, as a Test Engineer, with a focus on electronic systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong background in software development and verification preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electronic product design and testing, preferably in the aerospace industry or other regulated environment.
  • Proficiency in Python for automated test systems and scripting.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment and software tools for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Experience with environmental testing, including thermal, vibration, and EMI/EMC.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in writing requirements for test systems.
  • Experience with DO-160 standards for hardware qualification.
  • Experience with DO-178B/C standards for software development and testing in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with reliability testing and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience with aerospace interfaces ARINC
    429, ARINC
    717, UART, CAN and ethernet.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with DO-160 standards for hardware qualification.
  • Experience with DO-178B/C standards for software development and testing in the aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with reliability testing and failure analysis techniques.
  • Experience with aerospace interfaces ARINC
    429, ARINC
    717, UART, CAN and ethernet.
