Position Overview:
We are currently seeking
Machine Operators to join our
Stone Shop and
Mill Department
. The Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating production equipment to cut, shape, and prepare materials for cabinet and counter top fabrication. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, production efficiency, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery and equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Set up machines for daily production runs, ensuring correct tools, materials, and calibrations are used.
- Monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities, making adjustments as needed.
- Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality, ensuring they meet production specifications.
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
- Follow all safety policies and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Maintain organized and efficient workflow in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing or woodworking machinery preferred.
- Experience in cabinet, counter top, or stone fabrication a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, and measurements accurately.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and processes as needed.
