Customer Service/Sales role description at The Home Depot covers delivering fast, friendly service by actively engaging with customers to assess needs and provide assistance. Associates learn about products using company tools and provide information to help customers select products for their projects.

• Greet, qualify, recommend and close each customer in their department, and understand basics in adjacent departments.
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas and ensure the area is clean, shop-able, and safe.
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing safety training, correcting hazards or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely to avoid endangering themselves, co-workers, vendors, or customers.
• Collaborate with the Department Supervisor and other associates within and across departments.
• Work in store departments which may include Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing and Tool Rental.
• The position types may include Department Sales, Lead Generator, Pro Account Sales, Sales Specialist, Special Services, and Customer Order Specialist.
