Base Pay Range
$17.00/hr - $19.00/hr
Responsibilities- Provide a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers and offering assistance with products and services.
- Register sales on the assigned cash register, collect cash and distribute change, and process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Maintain store merchandised and counters clean, perform inventory and record keeping, and check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader.
- Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, counting and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine is correct, and checking for possible interactions.
- Report prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and the Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct.
- Maintain compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products, including alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
- Assist with photo services and digital passport processing when required.
- Engage customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
- Model service best practices and share these with all team members.
- Provide courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service and recommend items for sale, including trade‑up and companion items.
- Process customer purchases on assigned cash register and take customers to the OTC aisle when possible.
- Maintain counters and shelves, perform inventory, and keep product displays fresh and organized.
- Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state required certification/registration.
- Attend training and complete required educational requests, maintaining up‑to‑date knowledge of healthcare and pharmacy.
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
- Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling (counting, measuring, weighing).
- Prefer good computer skills.
- Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
- Prefer PTCB certification.
