We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist occupational therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental impairments.
- Work under the supervision of occupational therapists to implement treatment plans for patients
- Help patients with exercises and activities that improve their ability to perform daily tasks
- Monitor and record patient progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with occupational therapists to modify treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on techniques for continued improvement.
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Current and valid Driver's license
- Current and valid Auto Insurance
- Current and valid CPR certification
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical record) preferred
- Observation/Assessment:
Proficient in keenly observing patient conditions and adept at providing timely and accurate reports to relevant personnel - Strong communication and interpersonal skills:
Demonstrates excellent communication abilities with the care team and patients/caregivers, ensuring clear and concise information exchange. - Critical Thinking:
Possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills to assess situations and make informed decisions. - Self-Motivated:
Initiates tasks independently as a highly motivated self-starter, contributing proactively to the team's success. - Time Management:
Displays effective time management skills, optimizing productivity and meeting deadlines efficiently.
