United Dairy Farmers is seeking a Palletizer Operator for the Ice Cream Plant located in Norwood, OH.
POSITION OVERVIEW:Responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to operating palletizing equipment and forklifts to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate handling of finished goods.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Always wear required PPE (safety shoes, high-visibility vest, gloves, eye protection, and hearing protection).
Maintain clear aisles and safe speeds when operating forklifts.
Reduce or clean debris in the Palletizer area (Use downtime to clean and organize the palletizer area.)
Shipping and Receiving OversightEnsure efficient, accurate shipping and receiving
Inventory Management- Helps on the Monthly and Yearly Inventory Count.
- Serve as backup Shipping Lead.
Ensure the correct product and packaging materials are loaded.
Collaborate with Production, QA, Maintenance, and other departments
Start the machine following the manufacturer’s start-up procedure.
Monitor product flow for proper alignment, stacking, and wrapping.
Remove any defective or damaged products immediately.
Perform basic troubleshooting for jams or misaligned pallets.
Reporting and Compliance:Record machine performance and downtime in the daily log sheet.
Performance Criteria:- Reduce downtime from Palletizer/Tri-Tray issues (no Maintenance related): KPIs. (Key Performance Indicator) - target downtime per shift
