Interim Financial Accountant – FRS 102 Project

3-6 Month Contract (Likely Extension) | Hybrid

We’re working with a market-leading SaaS organisation undertaking a complex FRS 102 revenue recognition conversion
. They’re looking for an experienced Interim Financial Accountant to support the transition, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and data integrity throughout the project.

This hands‑on role will involve reviewing contracts, validating data, and analysing revenue recognition methodologies to ensure they align with updated accounting standards. It’s an ideal opportunity for a technically strong accountant who enjoys working through detail, solving complex accounting challenges, and improving financial clarity across systems and processes.

• Support the FRS 102 conversion project
  , ensuring alignment with IFRS‑based revenue recognition principles
• Review and analyse customer contracts to identify and document revenue recognition impacts
• Test and validate key assumptions and methodologies used in applying the new accounting policy
• Summarise contract findings, highlighting recurring themes, issues, or data inconsistencies
• Prepare and validate balance sheet adjustments and restatement entries for accuracy
• Support data cleansing and verification activities within the financial system
• Collaborate with finance leaders to confirm recognised revenue accuracy and audit readiness
• Work with internal teams to identify and resolve configuration or system‑related discrepancies
• Produce clear documentation and supporting evidence for audit and compliance reviews
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in accounting processes and financial reporting accuracy

• Qualified Accountant (
  ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CA
  )
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with exposure to FRS 102 and IFRS 15
• Proven experience in contracts review and revenue recognition
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to interpret and present complex data clearly
• Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial systems
• Audit background or audit‑style analytical experience beneficial
• Prior experience within a SaaS, software, or technology environment desirable
• Detail‑oriented, hands‑on, and comfortable working independently in a project‑driven setting
