Semi Senior​/Senior Accountant

A well-established independent accountancy practice is looking to recruit a Semi-Senior or Senior Accountant to join its friendly team based close to Long Eaton, Beeston, Stapleford, Castle Donington and Nottingham. Having supported local businesses and individuals for many years, the firm offers a broad range of accounting, tax, payroll and audit services within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Whether you are an Accounts Trainee with practice experience looking to progress, an experienced Semi-Senior, or an established Senior Accountant, this firm can offer excellent training, study support and genuine long-term career development.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will work with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting the delivery of high-quality accounting and taxation services while building strong client relationships.

• Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and personal tax returns
  • Completing VAT returns and maintaining accurate financial records
  • Assisting clients with accounting software, including Sage
  • Supporting audit assignments where required
  • Liaising with clients to resolve accounting and tax queries
  • Working closely with senior members of the team to ensure work is completed accurately and on time
