Group Accountant

Description If you're a technically strong qualified accountant who enjoys statutory reporting but also wants to add value through projects and process improvements, this could be the ideal next move.

Joining a large, well-established, multi-site business, you'll take ownership of statutory reporting across multiple legal entities while working closely with senior finance leaders, auditors and the wider business.

What you'll be doing:

Preparing statutory accounts under UK GAAP (FRS
102)
Leading year-end audit activities and managing auditor relationships

Supporting tax reporting and regulatory compliance

Ensuring robust balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Researching technical accounting matters and implementing new standards

Driving finance process improvements and supporting transformation projects

Partnering with stakeholders across various functions

About you:

ACA or ACCA qualified

Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting experience

Confident managing external audits

Experience with in a large group or multi-entity environment

Strong Excel skills and experience using ERP systems

Proactive, commercially aware and keen to improve processes
