Role Description The Accountant will work on-site at the Nottingham office in a full-time capacity, supporting a variety of clients with their accounting and tax needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing financial statements, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and processing invoices and payments. The role involves completing VAT returns, assisting with tax computations, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and reporting standards. The Accountant will communicate directly with clients to gather information, explain financial data, and respond to queries.

• Experience with tax-related work, such as VAT returns, personal and corporate tax calculations, and awareness of current UK tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and office tools (e.g., cloud-based accounting platforms, spreadsheets, and general productivity software).
• Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and build professional relationships.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client deadlines.
• Relevant professional qualification or progression or part-qualified (e.g., AAT, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) and prior experience in practice or a similar accounting environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, demonstrate integrity and confidentiality, and adapt to changing client and regulatory requirements.
