With a strong focus on advisory work. You’ll work across personal and corporate tax, providing practical, commercially focused advice and taking ownership of varied and complex client projects.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Delivering proactive personal and corporate tax advice to owner-managed businesses, shareholders and larger corporate clients
• Lead and support complex tax projects, including business reorganisations, de-mergers, share schemes and wider restructuring or succession planning
• Manage advisory assignments from initial scoping and technical research through to delivery, implementation and client follow-up
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide clear, commercially focused recommendations that reflect each client’s objectives and risk profile
• Prepare and review technical advice, reports and supporting documentation, working with partners and colleagues across the wider business where specialist input is required
• Build trusted client relationships, keeping clients informed of relevant legislative changes and helping them plan ahead

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• Ideally CTA qualified, although applications from ATT, ACA or ACCA qualified professionals with strong and demonstrable tax advisory experience will also be considered
• Significant tax experience gained within an accountancy practice or professional services environment
• Strong technical knowledge across both personal and corporate tax, with the ability to consider the interaction between the two
• Proven experience of advising on complex projects such as business reorganisations, de-mergers and share schemes
• Confident researching technical issues and translating legislation into clear, practical and commercially relevant advice
• A client-focused approach, with the credibility and communication skills to build trusted relationships with business owners and senior stakeholders
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to scope work, manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timescales
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound judgement and attention to detail
• A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and work effectively with colleagues across different service lines
• Proactive, self-motivated and comfortable taking ownership of assignments from initial discussion through to completion
• A genuine interest in developing your technical expertise and contributing to the continued growth of the tax advisory offering
