Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator To 30k DOE

We are looking for a highly motivated Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator to join our clients Customs Clearance & Data Bureau team. This is a varied and hands-on role combining customs documentation, data processing, client communication and operational support.

If you are detail-focused, process-driven and keen to build a long-term career in international logistics and customs compliance, this is an excellent opportunity with full training provided.

The Role of the Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator

You will play a key role in preparing and processing import/export customs clearances while supporting internal departments and maintaining excellent customer service standards. Approximately 15% of the role will involve physical checks of vehicle contents.

Key Responsibilities of Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator
  • Monitor and manage shared workflow mailboxes
  • Process and route emails to appropriate internal departments
  • Communicate with clients by phone and email regarding job status
  • Receive data files and job instructions via email and SFTP
  • Prepare, check and process import/export customs documentation
  • Calculate and verify duties, taxes and international charges
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations
  • Use Sequoia, Savvy (bespoke system) and other customs entry systems
  • Visually inspect vehicle contents when required
  • Complete paperwork accurately and neatly
  • Maintain organised work spaces and a positive team approach
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement

  • Confident IT user (Excel & Word)

  • Able to follow procedures and work independently
Desirable
  • GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent
  • A/AS Level or Graduate calibre
  • Knowledge or interest in IT, data or databases
  • Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
  • Experience with customs software or logistics systems
