The role entails managing reception, welcoming approx. 120+ patients per day and ensuring that all relevant administrative tasks are completed to provide the expected high standard of care in hospital.

• Ensuring that all relevant administrative tasks are completed to provide the expected high standard of care in hospital.
• Acting as the focal point of contact for the department and serving as an information resource for staff and visitors.

• Receptionist skills, experience in the NHS, knowledge of the hospital and use of NUH computer systems such as MEDWAY PAS, NOTIS and UNITY would be a distinct advantage.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional telephone manner and good customer care skills.
• Ability to prioritise and work well as a member of a team, use your own initiative, maintaining accuracy with both verbal and written communication.
• Computer literate, experienced in the use of electronic communications and confident during face to face interactions with patients and visitors.
• Knowledge of hospital systems i.e. Medway, PAS and DHR is desirable; training can be provided.

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
