Senior Executive Assistant – Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service

The main purpose of this job role is to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Fire Officer, Deputy Chief Fire Officer and the Assistant Chief Fire Officer in respect of Fire Service activities at local, regional and national level so as to maximise the effective and efficient use of their time.

To line manage and co‑ordinate the Executive Assistants to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective executive support service to the Directors and Heads of Department.

Duties will cover or include:

  • Diary management
  • Processing correspondence on their behalf
  • Co‑ordinating their attendance at meetings and events externally and internally
  • Arranging appropriate travel and accommodation for all CFRS employees
  • Attending meetings to take notes and produce minutes/action lists

  • Show excellent attention to detail and good organisational skills
  • Be able to work to tight deadlines and adapt to prioritise conflicting demands
