Are you a highly organised, detail-focused professional with excellent business support, policy and stakeholder management skills? We are seeking a Business Support Policy Officer to join our Corporate Development team at Nottinghamshire Police.
What you'll do- Provide comprehensive business support to senior leaders, including diary management, meeting coordination and correspondence handling.
- Create agendas, action trackers, minutes and other documentation to support effective governance.
- Maintain accurate records, systems and corporate documentation in line with legislation and policy requirements.
- Coordinate and manage the Force’s documentation framework, ensuring policies, procedures, strategies and forms remain current and compliant.
- Administer and publish corporate documentation on the Force intranet and website where appropriate.
- Assist with policy development, research and the preparation of reports and briefing papers.
- Support records management, policy review activities and horizon scanning for legislative or policy changes affecting the Force.
- Provide a professional service to internal and external stakeholders, including senior leaders and partner organisations.
- Significant experience in a Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant or Business Support role supporting senior leaders.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience coordinating meetings, producing minutes and managing follow-up actions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and workloads.
- High levels of attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Understanding of corporate documentation, policies and governance processes.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a small team.
- 24 days of annual leave plus bank holidays
