You'll play an important role in keeping our workplace running smoothly, ensuring everyone feels welcomed, supported and connected. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in excellent customer service and thrives in a varied, fast-paced environment.

About the role

As our Receptionist, you'll be the first point of contact for visitors to our Head Office, delivering a professional front-of-house service while supporting the wider Workplaces team. You'll coordinate reception activities, meeting room arrangements, deliveries and workplace services, helping to create a safe, welcoming and efficient environment for everyone who uses our buildings.

This is a fixed-term position until July 2027, with the potential to be extended or become a permanent role, subject to organisational requirements.

What you'll be doing

* Welcoming visitors and providing a professional and friendly reception service.

* Coordinating meeting room bookings, set-up and hospitality arrangements.

* Handling telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries.

* Managing deliveries and ensuring they are handled in line with service standards.

* Ordering and maintaining workplace supplies and supporting invoice administration.

* Assisting with building checks and helping maintain a safe and welcoming workplace.

* Acting as a Fire Warden and First Aider following appropriate training.

What you'll have

Experience in a receptionist, front-of-house, customer service or similar role.

* GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).

* Strong Microsoft Office skills and confidence learning new systems.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong organisation skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

* A professional, approachable and customer-focused manner.

* The ability to work independently and use your initiative.

* Experience building positive relationships with people at all levels.

Experience of facilities management, building maintenance or health and safety would be beneficial but is not essential.
