Our client, a reputable and long-established commercial vehicle dealership in Nottingham, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join their busy workshop team. This is an exceptional opportunity for experienced HGV technicians to develop their careers within a leading manufacturer-backed environment. - Conduct servicing, maintenance, and repairs on commercial vehicles
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults accurately
- Complete vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT testing and perform necessary adjustments
- Complete all workshop documentation and job cards diligently
- Attend manufacturer training courses to enhance technical expertise
- Work efficiently to meet workshop productivity and quality targets
- Maintain high standards of workmanship, attention to detail, and safety compliance
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, IMI, BTEC or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
- Proven experience within a commercial vehicle workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Positive, proactive attitude with enthusiasm and motivation
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- IRTEC accreditation is advantageous but not essential
- HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence would be beneficial but is not essential
