This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within the new Contract Management Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, supporting the effective delivery of contract management across the organisation.
The post holder will provide analytical and data management support to the Procurement Department, using procurement, contract and expenditure data to inform decision making, support value for money and ensure compliance with procurement processes and regulations. They will analyse contract usage, pricing compliance and supplier performance information, contributing insight that supports category leads, clinical procurement specialists and contract managers in their operational and strategic activity.
A significant aspect of the role involves producing routine and ad hoc reports, dashboards and savings trackers, validating procurement and financial data, identifying discrepancies or trends, and working with finance colleagues to support reconciliation, expenditure monitoring and financial reporting. The post holder will ensure that procurement and supplier data held within Trust systems is accurate, complete and fit for purpose, escalating issues where required.
The post holder will communicate analytical information clearly to a wide range of stakeholders, contribute to meetings by providing data insight, and work collaboratively within the Procurement team to improve processes, data quality and ways of working.

The post holder will interrogate and interpret procurement and contract data to provide meaningful insight that supports effective purchasing decisions, contract oversight and performance management across the Trust.
They will contribute to tendering, contract review and supplier engagement activity by supplying accurate analysis and background information, ensuring that colleagues are equipped with reliable evidence to inform discussions and decision making. The post holder will take responsibility for the ongoing accuracy and integrity of procurement data, proactively identifying anomalies, resolving data quality issues and maintaining robust records across procurement systems.
The role requires close working with finance teams, clinical stakeholders and procurement colleagues to ensure that information is clearly understood, appropriately applied and supports compliance with internal procedures and external regulations. The post holder will also support the development of improved reporting tools, data processes and team practices, while providing informal support to colleagues and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within the Procurement Department.

Key Job Responsibilities
- Provide analytical and administrative support to procurement colleagues in relation to contract management activity, including monitoring contract usage, pricing compliance and supplier performance data.
- Support category leads and clinical procurement specialists during tendering, contract review and supplier engagement activity by providing accurate data and analysis.
- Assist in maintaining contract records and documentation within Trust procurement systems in line with agreed procedures.
Data, Reporting and Financial Monitoring
- Analyse Trust-wide procurement and contract expenditure, contract usage and supplier data to support procurement activity, financial monitoring and value for money objectives.
- Produce routine and ad hoc procurement reports, dashboards and savings trackers for procurement managers, category leads, finance colleagues and budget holders.
- Work with finance to support reconciliation of procurement savings, expenditure trends and financial reporting.
- Ensure procurement data is accurate, validated and fit for purpose, identifying discrepancies and escalating issues appropriately.
Governance and Compliance
- Support compliance with Trust procurement policies, Standing Financial Instructions and relevant procurement regulations through accurate data management and reporting.
