Nottinghamshire Police is seeking an outstanding and values‑driven Assistant Chief Officer (ACO) to join our Chief Officer Team and lead our Corporate and Enabling Services. This is a critical executive role that will shape our strategic direction, strengthen our organisational foundations, and ensure we provide the best possible service to the communities we serve.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership across the force’s resourcing portfolio, including finance, people, estates, IT, procurement, governance, risk and corporate planning.
- Drive transformation, deliver value for money, and ensure strong stewardship of public resources.
- Develop and enhance our enabling services to support effective and efficient operational policing.
- Operate with integrity, professionalism and a commitment to public service, demonstrating credibility with senior partners.
- Senior leader with significant experience in complex organisations.
- Strong commercial and financial background with a proven ability to lead change, build confidence and deliver results.
- Positive and inclusive leadership style, credible with senior partners.
- Relevant professional qualification, educated to Master’s level (or equivalent).
- Completed or willing to complete the Police Executive Leadership Programme.

For current Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner staff applicants, please note that Nottinghamshire Police would be a new employer. However, an agreement has been made whereby all tenure and length of service will be honoured.
Vetting Level – Management – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
