I’m currently partnered with a drinks business that has grown over 30% year on year for the past five years, driven by a strong portfolio of top-tier brands. With an ambitious plan to treble the business over the next three years, they are already well on track to achieve this.
Due to continued growth, we’re recruiting a Field Sales Controller to lead and develop a team of 7–10 field sales representatives, with scope to recruit up to three additional heads. This role is heavily focused on strategy, leadership, and people development. We’re looking for someone who can lead from the front while bringing the team with them. The current field team is already high performing, but there is clear opportunity to further enhance execution, capability and results.
This is a high impact role within a fast growing business, offering strong progression potential as the company continues to scale.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the Off-Trade Field Sales Team.
- Develop a high-performance culture through strong sales, negotiation, and relationship skills.
- Deliver brand training and in-trade coaching.
- Plan and lead Field Sales Team meetings.
- Ensure the right range, pricing, and in-store execution across key brands.
- Deliver distribution, visibility, and POS targets in line with Trade Marketing plans.
- Use store audits and data to identify opportunities and drive growth.
- Drive brand growth through sales initiatives and Trade Marketing collaboration.
- Build strong relationships with key groups, multi-site operators, and customers.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Brand, Commercial, and Senior teams.
- Use data and insight to shape strategy and improve performance.
- Drive efficiency and manage costs within budget.
- An excellent track record within the FMCG category, supported by exceptional selling, negotiation and commercial acumen is essential.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Good networking capabilities.
- Ability to interpret customer & market data to use in negotiations with customers.
